A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THS CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN
THE AMOUNT OF $500,000 FOR
ADOLESCENT TREATMENT AND A CONTRACT
WITH ARKANSAS CARES IN THE AMOUNT OF
$175,000 FOR WOMEN'S EVENING
OUTPATIENT TREATMENT.

WHEREAS, the purpose of the Future Little Rock P.I.T. Task
Force is to ensure that $2.5 million from the City half -cent
sales tax be spent for prevention, intervention and treatment
for Little Rock residents; and
WHEREAS, providers were selected through a Request for
Qualifications process to determine the best qualified provider
of treatment services; and
WHEREAS, the task force made recommendations to the City
Board of Directors which were adopted under City Ordinance
16,797 that appropriated $2.5 million for adult treatment and
support centers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Arkansas Children's Hospital in the amount of
$500,000 for adolescent treatment and a contract with Arkansas
CARES in the amount of $175,000 for women's evening outpatient
treatment.
SECTION 2. Funding is available from P.I.T.
