A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE DAYTIME
CURFEW FOR MINORS AND COMMITTING TO
CONTINUE THE CURFEW FOR THE 1995 -96
SCHOOL YEAR; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, adopted a daytime curfew for minors in Little Rock,
Ark., Ord. No. 16,825 (January 3, 1995) ; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors resolved to revisit the
impact of the daytime curfew at the conclusion of the 1994 -95
school year as set forth in Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No.
9,305 (January 3, 1995); and
WHEREAS, at the regularly scheduled agenda meeting of the
Board of Directors on June 27, 1995, the Board received a report
on the impact of the curfew from the Honorable William W. Watt,
Little Rock Municipal Judge, Second Division, outlining the effect
of the daytime curfew; and
WHEREAS, members of the Board of Directors expressed their
intent and commitment to continue the daytime curfew during the
1995 -96 school year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Board of Directors, having adopted a
daytime curfew for minors on January 3, 1995, and having reviewed
the results of the impact of the curfew on June 27, 1995, hereby
express the Board's belief that the curfew is meeting the positive
goals of the City set forth in the curfew ordinance, and resolve
that the daytime curfew for minors will be continued during the
1995 -96 school year.
