RESOLUTION NO. 9,429
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
ACQUISITION OF LAND AT JUNIOR DEPUTY
AND KANIS ROADS FOR A POLICE
SUBSTATION.
WHEREAS, recent refinancing of capital improvement bonds
included an authorization of $2.2 million for a Northwest Police
Substation; and
WHEREAS, during April, 1995, the Department advertised
publicly for available land meeting the general criteria for
development as a police facility; and
WHEREAS, a selection committee was convened in May, 1995,
and recommended the purchase of a five acre site offered by
Baptist Health on the southwest corner of Kanis Road and Junior
Deputy Drive; and
WHEREAS, the site is offered at a price of $142,793.16 (.64
per square foot).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve the
proposed location of the land for the police substation and to
purchase said land.
SECTION 2. Funding for this purpose is available from the
recently refinanced capital improvement bonds.
