RESOLUTION NO. 9,378
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TRANSFER THE BALANCE OF
THE REBSAI[EN PARR ROAD PROJECT TO
THE LOCAL STREET BOND PROJECTS.
WHffitEAS, the Rebsamen Park Road project was terminated
leaving approximately $486,000 unexpended; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 9,314 appropriated $1,776,580 of
1988 Capital Improvement Bond funds to construct Rebsamen Park
between Murray Park and River Mountain Road; and
WHEREAS, several groups opposed this project because of the
possibility of adverse vehicular traffic impact on the
surrounding park; and
WH MEAS, the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Program provided
$6,000,000 to reconstruct local neighborhood streets; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for construction of the entire
list of streets is $10,445,000; and
WHEREAS, $7,687,000 has been deposited into subject
account, leaving a shortfall of $2,758,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to transfer the
$485,735.62 balance of the Rebsamen Park Road Project to the
Local Street Bond Projects.
SECTION 2. Funds are available in account number
301 - 220 -0060.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
