WHEREAS, neighborhood associations have been instrumental in assisting Parks in planning and prioritizing requested neighborhood parks improvements; and WHEREAS, renovations and improvements recommended include drainage, fencing, paving, lighting, landscaping, additional picnic tables, benches and parking; and WHEREAS, needed improvements have been postponed for the past two years due to limited capital funding being available; and WHEREAS, in a 1994 special election the voters approved $8,100,000 for parks and recreation improvements, including neighborhood park improvements in the 1995 Capital Improvement Bond Issue; and WHEREAS, $400,000 is needed in 1995 to begin planning and implementation of these improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to allocate $400,000 from the 1995 Capital Improvement Bond Fund for neighborhood park improvements. SECTION 2.
