RESOLUTION NO. 9,360
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT TO PURCHASE A
MAINFRAME COMPUTER DISK SYSTEM FOR
THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT SUPPORT.
WHEREAS, in February 1987, OMS utilized the results of the
Information Master Plan and implemented a competitive bid
process that established IBM as the City's computer mainframe
vendor; and
WHEREAS, all upgrades must be based on IBM technology; and
WIDWEAS, the current mainframe disk system needs to be
replaced, since it can no longer be maintained under the
existing contract after June, 1995.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to IBM of Little Rock, Arkansas, the low
bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to exceed
$285,113 for a mainframe computer disk system for the office of
Management Support.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
numbers 210- 113 - 0353- 7120(10) / 210- 010 - 8190 - 7120(10).
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.

3) STORAGE TEK S ALTERNATE PROPOSAL FAILED TO INCLUDE SUFFICIENT DETAILED
SPECIFICATION SHEETS, MAKING THEIR EVAULAUTION INCOMPLETE.
