HomeMy WebLinkAbout9358• • 106 1 RESOLUTION NO. 9,358 2 3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN 4 PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE LITTLE ROCK PORT 5 INDUSTRIAL PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, Vinyl Building Products, Inc., a Delaware 8 corporation (the "Purchaser "), desires to purchase of certain 9 property located in the Little Rock Port Industrial Park owned by 10 the City of Little Rock, Arkansas (the "City "), substantially 11 described as follows: 27, Page 86 in the Circuit Clerk's Office, Pulaski 12 A tract of land situated in the NEk NWk, Section 22 13 in Township 1 North, Range 11 West, City of Little Rock, 14 Pulaski County, Arkansas, being a part of Area 103 as 15 shown on the Little Rock Port Industrial Park Addition to 16 the City of Little Rock, Arkansas recorded in Plat Book 17 27, Page 86 in the Circuit Clerk's Office, Pulaski 18 County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as 19 follows: 20 21 Commencing at the NW corner of said Section 22; 22 thence S 010 25' 41" W, along the West line of said 23 Section 22, for a distance of 60.00 feet to the South 24 Right -of -Way line of Frazier Pike; thence S 870 52' 09" 25 E, along said South Right -of -Way line, 1,805.15 feet to 26 the Northeast corner of the Wheatland Tube property, 27 (Tract E -1) also being the Point of Beginning; thence 28 continuing along said South Right -of -Way line S 870 52' 29 09" E, 551.22 feet; thence continuing along the Right -of- 30 Way line of Frazier Pike, along a tangent curve to the 31 right having a 190 foot radius and a chord bearing and 32 distance of S 430 10' 46" E, 267.24 feet, for a distance 33 of 296.39 feet; thence continuing along the Right -of -Way 34 line of Frazier Pike S 010 30' 36" W, 1,074.81 feet to 35 the South line of the Nk NWk of said Section 22, also 36 being the South boundary of said Little Rock Port 37 Industrial Park Addition; thence N 871 46' 35" W, along 38 said South line of the Nk NWk, for a distance of 752.85 39 feet to the East line of said Wheatland Tube property; 40 thence N 020 07' 51" E, along the East line of the 41 Wheatland Tube property, 1,261.47 feet to the Point of 42 Beginning, said tract of land containing 21.441 acres 43 (933,965 S.F.), more or less; 44 45 WHEREAS, the City has been offered the sum of $374,500 46 for the property described above and is prepared to sell the 47 property for such price; 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 iWA 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 0 10'7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: Section 1. The Board hereby finds that the proposed sale will secure and develop industry in the Little Rock Port Industrial Park, thereby providing substantial employment and payrolls. Section 2. The sale of the property as substantially described herein for the consideration stated is hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City a Warranty Deed and the appropriate Plat and Bill of Assurance, conveying said property to the Purchaser or its designee, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest said instruments and to deliver the same to the Office of the City Attorney for delivery of same to the Purchaser or its designee upon full payment of consideration in the sum of $374,500, payable to the Little Rock Port Authority. Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from the date of its adoption. ADOPTED: April 4, 1995.
