A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON ESTABLISHING A
CURFEW FOR MINORS DURING NORMAL
SCHOOL HOURS ON WEEKDAYS.
WHEREAS, a significant amount of juvenile crime occurs
during school hours within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has a strong desire to enact an ordinance
that will reduce juvenile crime and victimization during
daylight hours; and
WHEREAS, public input is needed in order to pass such an
ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas shall hold a public hearing on December 6,
1994, regarding establishing a curfew for minors during normal
school hours.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
