RESOLUTION NO. 9,247
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACTS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF COMPACT SEDANS, MID -SIZE
PICKUPS, A UTILITY VEHICLE, PASSENGER
VANS AND ONE -TON TRUCKS FOR THE
DEPARTMENT OF FLEET SERVICES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Little Rock Dodge of Little Rock,
Arkansas, the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount
not to exceed $11,983 for the purchase of seventeen (17) compact
sedans for the Fleet Services Department.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Dick Layton of Little Rock, Arkansas,
the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to
exceed $11,885, for the purchase of six (6) mid -size pickups for
the Fleet Services Department.
SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Dick Layton of Little Rock, Arkansas,
the low bidder meeting specifications, in an amount not to
exceed $20,239 for one four wheel drive utility vehicle for the
Fleet Services Department.
SECTION 4. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Little Rock Dodge of Little Rock,
Arkansas, the low bidder meeting specifications in an amount not
to exceed $19,453 for the purchase of two (2) fifteen (15)
passenger vans for the Fleet Services Department.
SECTION 5. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Dick Layton of Little Rock, Arkansas,
the low bidder meeting specifications in an amount not to exceed
$24,442 for the purchase of a one (1) ton truck for the Fleet
Services Department.
SECTION 6. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Dick Layton of Little Rock, Arkansas,
the low bidder meeting specifications in an amount not to exceed

SECTION 7. Funds are available for these purchases in

SECTION 8. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.

disqualified for the following reasons:
Item #2 - Mid Size Fick -Ups - Landers Olds failed to include air
conditioning, limited slip rear axle and bid a smaller cargo rating.
Item #3 - 4 WD Utility Vehicle - Bill Monday failed to meet the minimum
wheelbase (107 "), they bid 101.4 ".
