A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD
CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF
THIRTEEN (13) PICKUP TRUCKS FOR
VARIOUS CITY DEPARTMENTS.

WHEREAS, the equipment purchase freeze during the first
quarter of the year delayed this bidding process; and
WHEREAS, these units are needed in order for City
departments to meet their operational demands; and
WHEREAS, due to factory order model year "build -out dates"
consideration must be made prior to May 25, 1994, in order to
purchase 1994 model trucks; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder meeting all specifications in this
process is Bale Chevrolet Geo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Bale Chevrolet Geo of Little Rock,
Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed $45,360 for the purchase of
three (3) 1/2 ton trucks with bedliners; $122,920 for the
purchase of two (2) 1/2 ton trucks with campers and six (6) 1/2
ton trucks without campers; and $36,687 for two (2) 3/4 ton
trucks.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 600 - 360 - 6020 - 6021 -7060 and 603 - 220 - 2110 -7060 ($122,920).
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
