A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
WIDENING OF HUGHES STREET FROM NH"
STREET TO EVERGREEN DRIVE AS A PART
OF THE 1988 BOND ISSUE NEIGHBORHOOD
STREETS PROJECT.
WHEREAS, this project will add curbs, underground drainage
and a sidewalk on one side, to Hughes Street; and
WHEREAS, this project is one of the neighborhood street
improvement projects selected by the Board for the 1988 Bond
Issue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Lambert Construction Company of Little
Rock, Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed $220,626.32
($200,569.38 plus 10% contingency), for the widening of Hughes
Street from °H° Street to Evergreen Drive.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for this purpose in account
number 301 - 220 -0061.
