WHEREAS, the City has been made aware of certain safety and traffic circulation concerns in and around Boyle Park; and WHEREAS, the City deems it appropriate to implement certain recommendations intended to have a positive impact on the safety and traffic concerns in the Boyle Park area; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City that the recommendations stated below be implemented by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby intends to develop and implement the following recommendations to the extent funds are available. (a) A traffic signal should be installed and operated at the intersection of 36th Street and Boyle Park Road. (b) Street lights shall be installed on Boyle Park Road. (c) Boyle Park shall be closed to the public each evening at dark, although through traffic is permitted on Boyle Park Road. City police shall enforce parking and other violations in the park after dark. Specified activities after dark may be permitted in advance by the Director of Parks and Recreation.
