A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF INEZ
STREET TO J. L. HAWKINS STREET FROM EAST
8TH STREET TO EAST 12TH STREET
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City of Little
Rock by citizens seeking to honor Mr. Jeffrey L. Hawkins for his
years of service to the East End Community of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, said petition asks that the name of Inez Street
be changed to J. L. Hawkins Street in honor of Mr. Jeffrey L.
Hawkins; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its
January 4, 1994 meeting, approved the change of name.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The name of Inez Street extending from East
8th Street to East 12th Street is hereby changed to J. L. Hawkins
Street.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption and the City Manager is hereby
directed to notify all departments of said change.
