RESOLUTION NO. 9,042
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE AND
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES BUILDING AT
THE NEW SOLID WASTE FACILITIES.

WHEREAS, the operation of the City's new solid waste
facilities will require a building for maintenance of the
operating equipment, and offices for supervisory personnel and
training; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the building is included in
the Solid Waste Bond Issue budget, and is being constructed as a
separate contract due to the nature of the work involved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Farrell Construction of Pine Bluff,
Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed $757,300 (base bid of
$688,445 plus 10% contingency), to construct a vehicle maintenance
and administrative offices building at the new solid waste
facilities.
SECTION 2. Funds for this project is available in Fund 303,
the Landfill Capital Improvement Fund.
