A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY
MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A
CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
FIBER OPTIC CABLE TO VARIOUS
CITY DEPARTMENTS.

WHEREAS, there is a need to provide network capabilities to
GIS participants in the Public works Department, Neighborhoods and
Planning, Police Department and City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the installation of fiber optic cable will allow
for additional networking by other computer operators as well as
enhanced telecommunication capabilities.
WHEREAS, the City has submitted competitive bids to provide
a contract for the installation and Staley Electric is the low
bidder to receive this award.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids
and award a contract to Staley Electric of Little Rock, Arkansas,
in an amount not to exceed $27,300, to provide the installation of
fiber optic cable to various City departments.
SECTION 2. Funds are available for the project from account
210 - 220 -0092.
