A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH
STANDARD INSURANCE COMPANY TO PROVIDE
LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK EMPLOYEES FOR A 12 -MONTH
PERIOD EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1994.

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal for life insurance benefits
for City employees was issued in August, 1993, with a response
deadline of October 1, 1993; and
WHEREAS, in response to that request, ten organizations
submitted proposals for life insurance coverage; and
WHEREAS, based on detailed analysis of all proposals and a
two -year rate guarantee at a substantially reduced premium rate,
it is recommended that the contract for life insurance coverage
for City employees be awarded to Standard Insurance Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Standard Insurance Company to provide life insurance
coverage for City of Little Rock employees for a 12 -month period
effective January 1, 1994.
