A RESOLUTION TO EXTEND THE RADIO
PURCHASE CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA FOR
EQUIPMENT PRICING ACCORDING TO THE
CURRENT CONSUMERS PRICE INDEX FOR ONE
YEAR, EFFEC'T'IVE OCTOBER 1, 1993.
WHEREAS, Little Rock, AR, Ordinance 16,281 (October 6,
1992) authorized the purchase of additional equipment for the new
radio system as outlined in the bid document; and
WHEREAS, an addendum was submitted which stated that the
vendor and the City may negotiate an increase for each or any
given year up to four of the contract extension option from the
price at that time to a price unit not to exceed the amount of
increase or decrease according to the most current change in the
consumers price index; and
WHEREAS, Motorola offers to extend equipment pricing for
one year effective October 1, 1993, as outlined in the negotiated
bid document; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that next year new equipment
purchases will be in excess of $20,000.
` NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the
radio purchase contract with Motorola, for equipment pricing
according to the consumers price index for one year, effective
October 1, 1993, as per the terms of the original contract bid.
