A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO

ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE

PURCHASE OF LANDFILL EQUIPMENT ( WATER TRUCK,

FUEL TANK TRUCK, EXCAVATOR, LANDFILL

COMPACTOR, ARTICULATED MOTOR GRADER AND A 30

TON ARTICULATED DUMP TRUCK) FOR THE

DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES /FLEET SERVICES

WHEREAS, the City has submitted competitive bids to provide
13
a contract for landfill equipment ( water truck, fuel tank truck,
14
excavator, landfill compactor, articulated motor grader, and a 30
15
ton articulated dump truck) for the Department of General
16
Services /Fleet Services Division; and
17
WHEREAS, the low bidder in these competitive bidding
18
processes have been recommended to receive this award.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
20
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a
22
contract with Robinson International of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
23
provide a water truck, in an amount not to exceed $56,939.00.
24
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into
25
contracts with Clark Machinery of Little Rock, Arkansas, to
26
provide an excavator , in an amount not to exceed $284,453.30;
27
and to provide an articulated motor grader, in an amount not to
28
exceed $85,439.00.

SECTION 3. The City Manager is authorized to enter into
30
contracts with J. A. Riggs of Little Rock, Arkansas, to provide a
31
landfill compactor, in an amount not to exceed $163,000.00; and
32
to provide a 30 ton articulated dump truck, in an amount not to
33
exceed $207,860.00.

SECTION 4. Funding for the purchase of the landfill
35
equipment will be provided from the revenue bond issue.
