RESOLUTION NO. 8'995
A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE REQUEST OF THE CITY
OF SHANNON HILLS FOR WATER SERVICE FROM THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; TO DIRECT THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE APPROPRIATE CONTRACTS TO
ACCOMPLISH THIS GRANT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Shannon Hills has made an official
request of the City of Little Rock Municipal Water Works for an
extension of water service into the City of Shannon Hills; and
WHEREAS, Little Rock Resolution No. 7,893 (February 2,
1988) established the policy that no new water main extensions
shall be allowed in areas outside of the City of Little Rock's
extraterritorial jurisdiction without the prior approval of the
Little Rock Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, because of unique circumstances the Board wishes
to grant this request pursuant to a contract that otherwise
meets the growth policies of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Little Rock Board of Directors hereby grants
the request of the City of Shannon Hills for water service from
the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and this grant shall occur
upon the approval of appropriate contracts prepared by the City
Attorney, to accomplish this grant.
