MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS
CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE
IMAGING SYSTEM AND RADIO
IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

THE CITY
AND AWARD
OF A CLEAR
FREQUENCY
FOR THE

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
bids and award a contracts to the following, for the Department
of Public Works /Solid Waste Division.
a. to MCS Group, in an amount not to exceed $28,530 for
purchase of a clear imaging system.
b. to Interface Logic Systems, in an amount not to exceed
$37,487.50 for the purchase of a radio frequency
identification system.
SECTION 2. Funding is provided in Account Number
200- 220 - 2200 -7120 ($26,000); and $40,017.50 from the Waste
Disposal Revenue Bond Fund.

RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: It is recommended that these
items be awarded to the only bidders responding. Both items were
suspected to be only sources due to software and compatibility
requirements. Bids were solicited from 48 vendors who could
propose their own software system with generic hardware, however,
none responded.
