RESOLUTION NO. 8,953 325
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE DESIRE
OF THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD OF
DIRECTORS TO ENGAGE IN JOINT EFFORTS
TO RESOLVE ISSUES OF MUTUAL CONCERN
WITH ALL GOVERNING BODIES IN PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the continued development in Pulaski County,
Arkansas, has expanded demands for governmental services in all
cities within Pulaski County, as well as the county itself; and
WHEREAS, future growth and strain on existing governmental
services will inevitable result in the need for coordinated and
joint resolution of new issues and challenges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors believes that present and
future issues facing individual governmental units and residents
will also potentially impact on all governmental units and all
Pulaski County residents.
SECTION 2. It is the desire of the City of Little Rock to
engage in a regular and continuing series of meetings with the
governing body of Pulaski County and the governing bodies of all
cities within the county, and their respective chief
administrative officers.
SECTION 3. The purpose of the meetings shall be to discuss
and resolve issues of common interest to all governmental units.
SECTION 4. The City Manager is hereby directed to contact
all interested parties to carry out the intent and purpose of this
resolution.
