RESOLUTION NO. g 943
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE INTENT
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO
COOPERATE WITH THE PULASKI COUNTY
REGIONAL WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
TO COORDINATE AND DEVELOP WITH THE
DISTRICT PLAN, ONE COMPOSTING
FACILITY IN THE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved Little Rock,
Arkansas, Resolution No. 8862 on February 2, 1993, expressing an
intent to construct a new landfill and to cooperate with the
Pulaski County Regional Solid Waste Management District
(PCRSWD); and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has taken steps to issue
bonds to pay the cost of constructing this landfill; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of Directors to
cooperate with the District in providing composting facilities
for the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors directs the City Manager
to work with the Regional Solid Waste Management District to
develop a composting program within the district so there will
be no duplication of facilities.
