A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS
ON JULY 6, 1993, TO CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER REFUNDING AND
CONSTRUCTION REVENUE BONDS, AND AN ORDINANCE
FIXING RATES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE
WASTEWATER UTILITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas owns a Sewer System (the "System "), which
is operated by the Sewer Committee of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has determined that improvements to the system are necessary
in order to make the services of the System adequate for the needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has determined that the City will be able to receive a substantial
savings by refunding its Sewer Revenue and Construction Revenue Bonds, Series 1987 (the "1987
Bonds ") and by redeeming its Sewer Revenue Bonds, Series 1966; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has determined that new rates for services are required to meet
the operating and capital needs of the System;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That July 6, 1993, at 6:00 p.m, shall be the date and time for public hearings
to consider an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of up to $28,500,000 sewer refunding and
construction bonds for the purpose of financing, along with available funds of the System, the costs
of improvements to the System and refunding the 1987 Bonds, and an Ordinance fixing rates for
services rendered by the Wastewater Utility of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
