A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK TO UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID SURFACE
TRANSPORTATION FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF YOUNG
CREEK BRIDGE ON NABELVALE PIKE.

WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock understands Federal -Aid
Surface Transportation funds are available for projects on City
streets at the following Federal participating ratios; and
WHEREAS, an Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department
bridge inspection has determined that the wooden substructure of
this bridge needs replacing. A five ton load limit has been
placed on the bridge
WHEREAS, this project will reconstruct this bridge over
Young Creek on Mabelvale Pike. Mabelvale Pike will be widened to
collector standards adjacent to the new structure.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Little Rock will participate in
accordance with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary to expedite the construction of the improvements of
City street.
SECTION 3: The City of Little Rock pledges its full

support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this
project.
