A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT FOR LONG -TERM
DISABILITY INSURANCE FOR NON- UNIFORM
EMPLOYEES FOR A ONE YEAR PERIOD EFFECTIVE
MAY 1, 1993.
WHEREAS, UNUM Life Insurance Company has submitted a
renewal proposal for the third year of the maximum three -year
contract period noted in the Request for Proposal issued in
February, 1991; and
WHEREAS, based on the extremely favorable renewal proposal
and the excellent service provided by UNUM, staff recommends
renewal of this contract for a one year period beginning May 1,
1993.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the
contract with UNUM Life Insurance Company to provide long -term
disability coverage for non - uniform employees for a one year
period beginning May 1, 1993.
