A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE
WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CENTRAL
ARKANSAS REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION
STUDY.
WHEREAS, a continuing, comprehensive and cooperative
transportation planning process is critical to the future
development of and quality of life for the Little Rock -North
Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area; and
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of Metroplan, the
designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the
Little Rock -North Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area, to
provide for a forum in which that planning process can be
accomplished; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Little Rock to
participate in this process via the Central Arkansas Regional
Transportation Study Agreement of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City adopts the attached Agreement of
Understanding indicating its intent to participate in the
Central Arkansas Regional Transportation Study.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute the Central Arkansas Regional Transportation
Study Agreement of Understanding between Metroplan and the City
of Little Rock.
