RESOLUTION NO. 8,826
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF HEARING ON THE PETITION TO
VACATE AND CLOSE STREETS WITHIN THE GROUNDS OF PHILANDER
SMITH COLLEGE: BOUNDED BY THE SOUTH LINE OF THE INTERSTATE
630 RIGHT -OF -WAY TO THE NORTH, THE EAST LINE OF CHESTER STREET
TO THE WEST, THE WEST LINE OF GAINES STREET TO THE EAST, AND
THE NORTH LINE OF WEST 14TH STREET TO THE SOUTH IN THE
ORIGINAL CITY OF LTTTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 5th day of November, 1992, asking the Board
of Directors to vacate and abandon parts of 11th, 12th, 13th, Izard, State,
andGaines Streets in Blocks 221, 222, 223, 224, 230, 231, 232, 233, 243, 244, 245, 246
of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas subject, however, to any public utility
easements located in said streets. Let it also be known, as certified by the Clerk of
Circuit Court & Recorder, that the plats of said Addition do not exist on record in
the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LTTTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The hearing on said petition shall be held at the meeting of
the Board of Directors in the City Hall at 6:00 o'clock P.M. on the 1st day of
December 1992.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such
hearing in the manner prescribed by law by publication once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and
having general circulation in the City of Little Rock.
