A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED
CONVEYING THE CITY'S INTEREST IN
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1309 WEST 28TH
STREET TO EIMEtt JACKSON.
WHEREAS, property located at 1309 West 28th Street was
donated to the City of Little Rock on September 14, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the City accepted this property with the intent of
tearing down the existing structure and building an Affordable
Home on the site; and
WHEREAS, due to an individual's interest to purchase and
rehabilitate the property, an advertisement for sale was published
in the Daily Record and Arkansas Democrat- Gazette on October 9,
1992; and
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Elmer Jackson for
$100.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to
execute a deed to convey the City's interest in the house and lot
located at 1309 West 28th Street to Elmer Jackson for $100.00 cash
consideration, upon the condition that the Grantee rehabilitate
the property to City Minimum Housing Codes within six months.
SECTION 2. In the event the Grantee fails to rehabilitate
the property within six months, the property will revert to the
City of Little Rock.
