RESOLUTION NO. 8,767
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR
REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL SERVICES FOR
RIGHT-OF -WAY ACQUISITION ASSOCIATED
WITH THE ASHER AVENUE WIDENING
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Asher Avenue between University and Colonel Glenn
needs to be widened and upgraded to arterial standards with curb
and gutter and underground storm drainage; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department
will construct the project, with the City providing the
right -of -way; and
WHEREAS, the first phase of the right -of -way acquisition
process is to select a licensed, independent appraiser.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 2 -243 of the Little Rock
Code of Ordinances, the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with Richard Stephens and Associates in the amount of
$45,000 for real estate appraisal services for right -of -way
acquisition associated with the Asher Avenue widening project.
SECTION 2. Funds for this project are available in account
number 210- 220 -0028.
