A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH EMPLOYERS'
REINSURANCE CORPORATION TO PROVIDE EXCESS
COVERAGE (REINSURANCE) FOR THE CITY'S
WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM FOR A ONE
YEAR PERIOD BEGINNING JULY 1, 1992.
WHEREAS, reinsurance coverage is designed to provide
protection against catastrophic losses to the City's Workers'
Compensation program during any workers' compensation plan year;
and
WHEREAS, responses to previous Requests for Proposal have
shown Employers' Reinsurance Corporation to be the only qualified
provider willing to meet the reinsurance needs of the City's
program.
WHEREAS, this renewal represents the third and final year
of the contract period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to renew
the contract with Employers' Reinsurance Corporation to provide
excess coverage (reinsurance) for the City's Workers' Compensation
Program for a one year period beginning July 1, 1992.
