NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purchase of the following for the Department of General Services and the Department of General Services /Fleet Services Division: A. to the various companies as shown on the attached tabulation, in an amount not to exceed $90,000, a contract for specialized heavy equipment repair service. B. to Tri State Mack in an amount not to exceed $40,000, an annual contract for mack repair parts, renewable for one additional year with the City Manager's approval as per the terms of the bid. C. to Robinson International in an amount not to exceed $222,516, a contract to purchase a 3 refuse packer trucks. Ron Blackwell Ford bid a shorter wheelbase than specified and their cab design allowed for only two passengers, a three passenger cab was specified. Rafferty International failed to include a 5 year warranty on the engine and drive train as specified. To add the warranty would raise their bid by 81,700.
