RESOLUTION NO. 8,644
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANGER
TO ACCEPT BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACTS FOR
THE RECONSTRUCTION OF FOSTER STREET AND
RUSS STREET AND STREET AND DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS ON HOLT STREET, WEST 32ND
STREET AND PINE STREET, CDBG CONSTRUCTION
PROJECTS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept bids and award a contract to Worth James in an amount not
to exceed $216,031.08 for the reconstruction of Foster Street
and Russ Street. Further, the City Manager is authorized to
approve change orders to the contract as long as such change
orders do not exceed $240,000.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is also authorized to accept
bids and award a contract to Ben Hogan Construction in an amount
not to exceed $204,294.83 for street and drainage improvements
on Holt Street, West 32nd Street and Pine Street. Further, the
City Manager is authorized to approve change orders to the
contract as long as such change orders to not exceed $233,000.
SECTION 3: Funding is available under the Community
Development Block Grant Program, Account No. 17100 -1 and 17100 -3
for Foster and Russ Streets and in Account No. 17100 -2, 17100 -4
and 17100 -5 for Holt Street, 32nd Street and Pine Street.
