A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE RENAMING OF
VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN THE MABELVALE
NEIGHBORHOOD AND REMOVING CONFLICT WITH
OTHER EXISTING STREETS.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock contains neighborhoods
with identical streets names;
and
WHEREAS, there currently exists potential for confusion
in dispatch of emergency vehicles;
and
WHEREAS, various public agencies experience difficulty
when encountering duplicate street names.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby
renames the several Streets within the Mabelvale
neighborhood in the manner set forth below:
Existing Street Names
1. East First Street
2. East Second Street
3. East Third Street
4. East Fourth Street
5. North Elm Street
6. South Elm Street
7. Vine Street
8. North and South Main Street
9. South Walnut Street
10. Hazel Street
11. Mabelvale West Road
(from West Second to
Main Street)
12. Mabelvale Pike
(from West Second to
Main Street)
13. No existing name
New Street Names
Mann Road
Woodman Lane
Sardis Road
Aston Lane
Darris Drive
Blake Lane
Jessica Lane
Mabelvale Main
Cochrane Street
Leah Lane
Train Sta. Drive
Helm Drive
April Place
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall take effect
on January 1, 1992.
