HomeMy WebLinkAbout8595M r M' M M 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 RESOLUTION NO. 8.595 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND THE ANNUAL CONTRACT WITH RADFORD EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR PETROLEUM EQUIPMENT PARTS AND SERVICES, FOR THE DEPARTM NT OF GENERAL SERVICES /FLEET SERVICES DIVISION. 476 WHEREAS, a contract was awarded to Radford Equipment Company in an amount not to exceed $15,000 for the term April 1, 1990 to March 31, 1991; and WHEREAS, due to unforeseen repairs to the City Hall fueling station and other underground fuel storage tanks it is estimated that an additional $30,000 may be required during the second year of the two year contract, April 1, 1991 to March 31, 1992. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend the petroleum equipment parts and services contract with Radford Equipment Company in an amount not to exceed $30,000. SECTION 2: Funds will become available upon approval of the 1992 budget, provided that if additional funds are not appropriated in the 1992 budget this extension may be terminated by either party to the contract. Little Rock, AR RECOMMENDATION AND DISCUSSION: This contract was originally bid and approved by the City Managers Office as its value was not expected to exceed the budgeted amount of $15,000. However, due to unforseen repairs to the City Hall fueling station and other underground fuel storage tanks it is estimated that additional $30,000 may be required during the term of the contract (411/91 3/31/92). The additional funds will come from the 1992 budget. It is recommended that the Board approve this contract until the expiration date of 3/31/92. 477
