A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO
EXCHANGE A PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY THE CITY
FOR ANOTHER PARCEL OF LAND NEEDED FOR THE
FOURCHE CREEK FLOOD REDUCTION PROJECT..
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock must acquire in fee simple
absolute a tract of land (Tract B) containing .0287 acres (1,250
square feet) lying along Rock Creek, for the Fourche Creek Flood

Reduction Project; and
WHEREAS, in lieu of cash compensation by the City for the
purchase of Tract B, the owner desires to exchange Tract B for
another parcel of equal size and value owned by the City of
Little Pock. (Tract A); and
WHEREAS, Tract A is an unimproved parcel on the banks of
Rock Creek and is no longer needed for corporate purposes
because it is not needed for flood control or access to adjacent
City property and the property to be acquired in this exchange
better serves the public purpose of flood control for this
project. (See attached legal descriptions and parcel map).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to
execute and deliver a deed for the conveyance of Tract A to the
owners of Tract B who will execute and deliver a deed conveying
Tract B to the Citv.
