A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE
FUNDS FROM THE 1988 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER AT UNIVERSITY
PARK; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT BIDS AND
AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the 1988 Bond Issue provided $1,200,000 for the
construction of a Senior Citizen Center at University Park; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15,473 appropriated $8,690,000 for
parks and recreation improvements; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 15,499 appropriated $370,000 for this
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to allocate
an additional $830,000 from the 1988 Capital Improvement Bond Fund
appropriated for parks and recreation improvements to Account No.
301 -230- 0053 -9060 for the construction of the Senior Citizen Center
at University Park.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to accept bids and
award a contract to Flynco, Inc. in an amount not to exceed
$669,300 for the construction of the Senior Citizen Center at
University Park, and is further authorized to approve change orders
to the contract in the aggregate not to exceed $66,930.
