RESOLUTION NO. 8,432
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PROCESS
FOR CITIZEN INPUT IN DEFINING CERTAIN
CAPITAL BOND PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors realizes that the City
has many and diverse capital needs; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors recognizes that the
Citizens of Little Rock need to have a voice in recommending the
capital projects proposed for the bond election; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors is supportive of the
Diamond Center concept; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors wishes to consider
other capital projects along with the Diamond Center as part of a
major public works bond issue; and
WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors wishes to have input
from related City agencies, neighborhood associations, civic
groups, recreational organizations and individual citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A public review process is hereby established
for public capital bond project suggestions.
SECTION 2. Public notification of the review process
schedule shall be accomplished through mailings, newspaper
articles, public announcements and cable access TV notification.
SECTION 3. The City Board of Directors will hold public
meetings on January 24, 1991, and February 13, 1991, to receive
public input on potential capital projects.
SECTION 4. The City Board of Directors will by March 19,
1991, consider a series of bond projects from the input of the
public and the assistance of the City staff.
SECTION S. The City Board of Directors will place these
capital projects in a bond issue election to be called on May 7,

1 SECTION 6. This resolution shall be in full force and
2 effect from and after its adoption.
