3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A ONE (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH
5 THE TREE MARSHALL,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
6 HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS
7 ($250,000.00) FOR TREE REMOVAL AND TREE TRIMMING
8 SERVICES ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS WITHIN THE CITY OF
9 LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, tree removal and trimming are needed within the City of Little Rock,
12 Arkansas(City)to maintain public rights-of-way along City streets;and,
13 WHEREAS,the City held a Public Bid No.2687 to obtain competitive bids from qualified
14 vendors to provide contractor assistance to the Public Works Department with tree removal and
15 tree trimming; and,
16 WHEREAS,the Tree Marshall submitted the lowest qualified bid meeting specifications;
17 and,
18 WHEREAS, Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,514 (December 3, 2024)was approved
19 by the Board of Directors to authorize an agreement for one (1)-year with the option of two (2)
20 additional one(1)-year terms; and,
21 WHEREAS,on November 4,2025,the City Board of Directors adopted Little Rock,Ark.
22 Resolution No. 16,858 authorizing the City Manager to sign a First Amendment to Contract to
23 extend the original contract for an additional one (1)-year term in an amount not to exceed Two
24 Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($250,000);and,
25 WHEREAS,the City wishes to exercise its option to extend the agreement for the second
26 of two (2) additional one (1)-year terms with The Tree Marshall, for tree removal and trimming
27 within the City of Little Rock.
28 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
29 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
30 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to extend an agreement with The Tree
31 Marshall, as primary contractor, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand and
32 00/100 Dollars($250,000.00),for the tree removal and tree trimming within the City of Little Rock.

1 Section 2. Funds for the Tree Trimming and Tree Removal services are available in the
2 operating budgets of City Departments desiring the use of these services.
3 Section 3. Severabiliry. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
4 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
5 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
6 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
7 was not originally a part of the resolution.
8 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
9 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
10 inconsistency.
11 Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
12 adoption.
