Home My WebLink About17155 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,155 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RECEIVE 4 AND ACCEPT A DONATION FROM THE ARKANSAS ZOOLOGICAL 5 FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED 6 FORTY-THREE THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY-THREE 7 DOLLARS AND 11/100 DOLLARS ($1,243,863.11) FOR FUNDS 8 OBLIGATED TOWARD THE COMPLETION OF THE "WILDLY 9 REIMAGINED" ZOO FRONT-ENTRY PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the City is undertaking the "Wildly Reimagined" Zoo Front-Entry Project (the 13 "Project")to improve and reimagine the front entrance and related facilities of the Zoo; and, 14 WHEREAS,by Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 17,045 (May 5,2026),the Board of Directors of 15 the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, authorized City funds and Arkansas Zoological Foundation funds to be 16 utilized for completion of the "Wildly Reimagined"Zoo Front-Entry Project; and, 17 WHEREAS,the Arkansas Zoological Foundation has offered to donate One Million Two Hundred 18 Forty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Three and 11/100 Dollars($1,243,863.11)to the City for funds 19 obligated toward the completion of the "Wildly Reimagined"Zoo Front-Entry Project;and, 20 WHEREAS,this gift allows for the deposit of the Arkansas Zoological Foundation's contribution 21 to the Project;and, 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 23 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to receive and accept, on behalf of the City, a 25 donation from the Arkansas Zoological Foundation in the amount of One Million Two Hundred Forty-Three 26 Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Three and 11/100 Dollars ($1,243,863.11) for funds obligated toward the 27 completion of the"Wildly Reimagined"Zoo Front-Entry Project,and to execute any documents necessary 28 to effectuate the acceptance of the donation. 29 Section 2. The donation shall be deposited into Special Project Fund S65C500, "Arkansas 30 Zoological Foundation,"and applied toward the completion of the "Wildly Reimagined" Zoo Front-Entry 31 Project as authorized by Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 17,045 (May 5,2026). 32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 33 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or [Page 1 of 2] 1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 3 resolution. 4 Section 4. Repealer.
