HomeMy WebLinkAbout17149 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,149 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VEHICLE SERVICE GROUP, LLC IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-THREE THOUSAND, TWO 6 HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR AND 46/100 DOLLARS ($53,294.46), PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, TO PURCHASE ONE (1) PORTABLE 8 COLUMN LIFT FOR USE BY THE FIRE TRUCK SHOP DIVISION OF 9 THE CITY'S FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO MAINTAIN THE 10 CITY'S FIRE TRUCKS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Department has a need to acquire one(1)new portable column 13 lift for use by the Fire Truck Shop Division of Fleet Services in servicing the City's Fire Trucks,to replace 14 the 2007 model lifts currently utilized by the City's Fleet Department that require costly repair to restore 15 functionality;and, 16 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended, 17 vendor selection of Vehicle Service Group, LLC to supply the new rotary lift was made through GSA 18 contract No. GS07F294AA; and, 19 WHEREAS,the total cost to purchase one(1)new portable column lift is Fifty-Three Thousand,Two 20 Hundred Ninety-Four and 46/100 Dollars ($53,294.46) per the vendor's quote attached hereto as Exhibit 21 A. 22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 24 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Vehicle Service Group, LLC, 25 in the amount of Fifty-Three Thousand,Two Hundred Ninety-Four and 46/100 Dollars($53,294.46)Fifty- 26 Three Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety-Four and 46/100 Dollars ($53,294.46), plus applicable taxes to 27 purchase one(1)new portable column lift. 28 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Fleet Maintenance Account No. 600031-72200. 29 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 33 resolution.
