3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ARKANSAS MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT,
5 INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, EIGHTY-FOUR
6 THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,084,500.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, UTILIZING FUTURE BOND FUNDS,
8 FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE (5) NEW 2027 FREIGHTLINER M2 106
9 NEW WAY SIDE LOADER REFUSE TRUCKS BY THE CITY'S FLEET
10 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS
11 DEPARTMENT'S SOLID WASTE COLLECTIONS DIVISION; AND FOR
12 OTHER PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Department has a need to acquire five(5)new 2027 Freightliner
15 M2 106 New Way Side Loader Refuse Trucks to replace older, high mileage vehicles in the City's Fleet
16 vehicle inventory that require costly maintenance; and,
17 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended,
18 vendor selection of Arkansas Municipal Equipment,Inc.,for this refuse vehicle purchase was made utilizing
19 Sourcewell Contract No. 110223-NWY; and,
20 WHEREAS,the funds for this purchase of five(5)new refuse trucks are from future bonds supported
21 by the Waste Disposal Fund revenues and paid over the useful life of the assets, or from other funds to be
22 identified by the City; and,
23 WHEREAS, the total cost to purchase for these five (5) vehicles is Two Million, Eighty-Four
24 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($2,084,500.00)per the vendor's quote attached hereto as Exhibit A.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
27 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Arkansas Municipal Equipment,
28 Inc., in the amount of Two Million, Eighty-Four Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($2,084,500.00), plus
29 applicable taxes and fees, utilizing future bond funds,to purchase Five(5)new 2027 Freightliner M2 106
30 New Way Side Loader Refuse Trucks to be delivered in January 2027.
31 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure will be available from future bonds supported by the Waste
32 Disposal Fund revenues and paid over the useful life of the assets which will be available in Public Works
33 Operating Account No. 603110-72300,or from other funds to be identified.

1 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
5 resolution.
6 Section 6.Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
7 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
