3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SIDDONS-MARTIN
5 EMERGENCY GROUP IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
6 THREE MILLION ONE HUNDRED NINETY-ONE THOUSAND
7 TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR AND 36/100 DOLLARS
8 ($3,191,274.36), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES,FOR THE
9 PURCHASE OF SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS
10 ("SCBA")EQUIPMENT AND RELATED ACCESSORIES FOR THE
11 LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
12 PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department has requested the purchase of SCBA
15 equipment and related accessories to replace and update the Department's current SCBA stock;
16 and,
17 WHEREAS,the purchase includes SCBA air packs,cylinders and valves,facepieces,RIT
18 masks, and related emergency escape equipment;and,
19 WHEREAS, vendor selection is based on Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC)
20 Cooperative Purchasing Contract No. EE 11-24, utilizing the most current applicable cooperative
21 contract pricing,thereby satisfying the City's competitive procurement requirements; and,
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
23 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Siddons-
25 Martin Emergency Group for the purchase of SCBA equipment and related accessories including
26 SCBA air packs, cylinders and valves, facepieces, RIT masks, and related emergency escape
27 equipment for use by the Little Rock Fire Department, in an amount not to exceed Three Million
28 One Hundred Ninety-One Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Four and 36/100 Dollars
29 ($3,191,274.36), plus applicable taxes and fees, and to execute any documents necessary to
30 effectuate the purchase.
31 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be drawn from the Fire Department Short-Term
32 Note Financing Account No. F447008-325519-72200.

1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
2 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
3 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
4 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
5 was not originally a part of the resolution.
6 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
7 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
8 inconsistency.
