3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH VEREGY CENTRAL, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED EIGHT HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($812,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES; FOR HVAC AND
7 ROOFING IMPROVEMENTS AT MULTIPLE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
8 DEPARTMENT FACILITIES;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock proposes HVAC and roofing improvements at multiple Little
11 Rock Fire Department facilities;and,
12 WHEREAS, the proposed improvements will address identified heating, ventilation, and air-
13 conditioning(1-IVAC)and roofing needs at affected facilities;and,
14 WHEREAS, the improvements are necessary to improve occupant comfort and safety, protect
15 existing City assets,support operational readiness,and extend the useful life of the affected facilities; and,
16 WHEREAS, the proposed work will enhance firefighter working conditions, facility safety,
17 operational readiness,and the preservation of City assets;and,
18 WHEREAS, Veregy Central, LLC was selected to perform the proposed work through the
19 Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract#071624-VER; and,
20 WHEREAS, the total project authorization for the proposed HVAC and roofing improvements
21 shall not exceed Eight Hundred Twelve Thousand and 00/100 Dollars($812,000.00),plus applicable taxes
22 and fees.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
24 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
25 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Veregy Central,
26 LLC, for HVAC and roofing improvements at multiple Little Rock Fire Department facilities, pursuant to
27 Sourcewell cooperative contract#071624-VER.
28 Section 2.The total amount authorized under the contract shall not exceed Eight Hundred Twelve
29 Thousand and 00/100 Dollars($812,000.00), plus applicable taxes and fees.
30 Section 3.Funds for the contract are hereby authorized by the Fire Capital Improvements Account
31 No. 108519-61010-S 10A237FC, subject to applicable budgetary requirements and the availability of
32 appropriated funds.

1 Section 4. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute such documents and take
2 such actions as may be necessary to implement this Resolution and the authorized contract,consistent with
3 its terms and applicable law.
4 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
5 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
6 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
7 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 6. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
10 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
