Home My WebLink About17140 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,140 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO IDENTIFY EXPENDITURES IN VARIOUS 4 WARDS FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED FROM THE 5 PROCEEDS OF THE 2026 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BONDS 6 FOR STREET AND DRAINAGE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 22,132 (May 17, 2022) ("LRO 22,132"), 9 authorized the issuance of Limited Tax General Obligation Capital Improvement Bonds for a 10 maximum of Forty Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($40,500,000) to finance Street 11 Improvements and Forty Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($40,500,000) to finance 12 Drainage Improvements;and, 13 WHEREAS, LRO No. 22,192 (November 15, 2022)authorized the Series 2022A Bonds 14 allocated among the improvements to include Twenty-Three Million, Seventy Thousand, Seven 15 Hundred Ninety-One and 50/100 Dollars ($23,070,791.50) for Street Improvements and Twelve 16 Million,Nine Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand,Eighty-Six and 15/100 Dollars($12,968,086.15)for 17 Drainage Improvements;and, 18 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors intends to pass an Ordinance to authorize 2026 Bonds 19 for the remaining balance of the authorization less any costs of issuance to include Seventeen 20 Million, Four Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred Eight Dollars ($17,429,208) for 21 Street Improvements and Twenty-Seven Million, Five Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Nine 22 Hundred Fourteen Dollars($27,531,914)for Drainage Improvements; and, 23 WHEREAS,a series of public meetings have been held in each City Ward to present a list 24 of recommended projects and seek public input on projects to be completed with proceeds of the 25 2026 Bonds for Streets and Drainage in the various Wards. 26 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF 27 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 28 Section 1. The ward boundaries of each ward set forth in this ordinance are the ones that 29 exist on the date of this ordinance. 30 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 13 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such 14 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall 15 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional 16 was not originally a part of the resolution. 17 Section 11. Repealer.
