3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A ONE (1) YEAR ADVANCED PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT
5 RENEWAL WITH REX WHITE PLUMBING, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT
6 NOT TO EXCEED FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
7 ($400,000.00) ANNUALLY, TO PROVIDE ON-CALL PLUMBING
8 REPAIR SERVICES FOR CITY FACILITIES, ON AN AS-NEEDED,
9 HOURLY BASIS, AT A RATE OF $75.00 PER HOUR FOR A MASTER
10 PLUMBER, $75.00 PER HOUR FOR A JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER AND
11 $45.00 PER HOUR FOR AN APPRENTICE PLUMBER; AND FOR
12 OTHER PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS, it is a necessity for the City to have access to on-call plumbing services for City
15 facilities in case of an after-hours emergency; and,
16 WHEREAS, under Bid Event No. 301,9, an invitation to bid on an annual advanced purchase order
17 contract for on-call plumbing services for City facilities on an as needed,hourly basis was issued;and,
18 WHEREAS, Rex White Plumbing, LLC provided the sole responsive bid with a quote of$75.00 per
19 hour for master plumber, $75.00 per hour for journeyman plumber, and $45.00 per hour for apprentice
20 plumber labor; and,
21 WHEREAS,the initial term for this on-call plumbing services advanced purchase order contract will
22 be a one (1) year renewal which may be extended for an additional six (6) one (1)-year terms, upon
23 agreement of the parties;
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
27 Rex White Plumbing, LLC, in an annual amount not to exceed Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
28 ($400,00.00), to provide on-call plumbing repair services on an hourly, as-needed basis, at the rate of
29 $75.00 per hour for master plumber, $75.00 per hour for journeyman plumber and $45.00 per hour for
30 apprentice plumber labor, with the initial term of the contract being one (1) year from date of award,
31 which may be extended for an additional six (6) one- (1) year periods upon mutual agreement of the
32 involved parties.
33 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in Building Services Operating Budget Account No.

1 104010-61010.
2 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be
3 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
4 Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
5 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
6 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions,and parts thereof,which are in conflict with any
7 provision of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
