Dear Romie:
This cover letter is for a fence (wall) permit at my home location: 23 Bretagne Circle, Little
Rock.
Attached please find an application for a variance and a preliminary plot plan. Also, I have
attached a copy of Chenal Valley Architectural Control's approval of the type of wall they will
allow. (We decided upon Option 1 — see attached).
When we built the home in 1998 there was a condition that we plant shrubbery to block the view
of the garage doors. Twenty-eight years later, the shrubbery roots have overgrown into the
sewer lines causing significant damage. We have had costly repairs and some of the bushes have
already been removed, but many more will need to be removed to deter future damages. It is not
feasible to plant new shrubbery so the wall was the only remedy to the problem of a barrier for
the garage.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I would appreciate this being on the next
Planning Commission meeting.
