3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GENESIS DATACOM,LLC,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS ($121,614.00), PLUS APPLICABLE
7 TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL AXIS PTZ
8 LONG-RANGE PUBLIC SAFETY CAMERAS, CRADLEPOINT
9 MODEMS, ANTENNAS, MOUNTING EQUIPMENT AND CABLES, TO
10 EXPAND NETWORK COVERAGE, AND UPGRADE OR REFURBISH
11 CAMERA UNITS IN LRPD'S EXISTING PUBLIC SAFETY CAMERA
12 NETWORK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department manages the City's Public Safety Camera Network
15 System which is designed to enhance public safety by deploying camera assets in areas where additional
16 resources are needed to address criminal activity and other public safety concerns;and,
17 WHEREAS,several camera units currently in service in the network need refurbishment;and,
18 WHEREAS, additional camera units are needed to expand the network and support the increasing
19 number of requests from community members, investigative units,and other city departments; and,
20 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended,
21 vendor selection of Genesis Datacom to fulfill the purchase of public safety cameras and components was
22 made utilizing State Contract No. SP-21-0047;and,
23 WHEREAS,per the vendor's quote attached hereto as Exhibit A,the cost to refurbish existing camera
24 units and purchase more camera units from Genesis Datacom,LLC,to expand the network is One Hundred
25 Twenty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars($121,614.00), including applicable taxes and fees.
26 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
27 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
28 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Genesis Datacom, LLC, in the
29 amount of One Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Fourteen Dollars ($121,614.00), including
30 applicable taxes and fees,for the purchase of Twenty-One(21)additional Axis PTZ long-range public safety
31 cameras, Cradlepoint Modems, antennas, mounting equipment and cables, to expand network coverage,
32 and upgrade or refurbish camera units in LRPD's existing Public Safety Camera network.
33 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available JAG 23 grant funds in the amount of Seventy

1 Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty and 74/100 Dollars ($70,860.74) from Account No. 270529-G52DF23A,
2 with the additional Fifty Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty-Three and 26/100 Dollars($50,753.26)allocated
3 in LRPD General Funds Account No. 105201-61350.
4 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
5 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
6 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
7 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
8 resolution.
9 Section 4.Repealer.All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
10 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
