3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BROWN'S DUMP BODIES INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT
6 THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($148,300.00), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE AND
8 INSTALLATION OF TWO (2) 12-YARD DUMP BEDS WITH SNOW
9 HYDRAULIC PROVISIONS ON TWO (2) INTERNATIONAL CHASSIS
10 TRUCKS IN THE CITY'S FLEET FOR USE BY THE STREET DIVISION
11 OF THE CITY'S PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER
12 PURPOSES.

14 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Department has a need to acquire two(2)new Snow Hydraulic
15 Provisioned 12-Yard Dump Beds to upfit two of its International Chassis Trucks for use by the Street
16 Division of the City's Public Works Department to respond to inclement weather conditions the City may
17 experience in the future; and,
18 WHEREAS, through the City's formal bidding process under Bid No. 236945, quotes for purchase
19 and installation of two (2)new Snow Hydraulic Provisioned 12-Yard Dump Beds to upfit two (2) of the
20 City's International Chassis Trucks were sought; and,
21 WHEREAS,the City received two bids responsive to Bid No. 236945 with the lowest responsive and
22 responsible bidder being Brown's Dump Bodies,Inc.;and,
23 WHEREAS,the cost to purchase and install two(2)new Snow Hydraulic Provisioned 12-Yard Dump
24 Beds to upfit two (2) of the City's International Chassis Trucks is One Hundred Forty-Eight Thousand,
25 Three Hundred Dollars($148,300.00)per Brown's Dump Bodies, Inc.'s Quote attached hereto as Exhibit
26 A.
27 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
28 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
29 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Brown's Dump Bodies Inc., in
30 the amount of$148,300.00,including applicable taxes and fees,for the purchase and installation of two(2)
31 12-Yard Dump Beds with Snow Hydraulic Provisions on two (2) International Chassis Trucks for use by
32 the Street Division of the City's Public Works Department.

1 Section 2.Funds for this expenditure are available in 2026 Public Works Operations Equipment Fund
2 Account No. 205409-72300-S40B679.
3 Section 3. Severabilily. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
4 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
5 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
6 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
7 resolution.
8 Section 4.Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
9 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
