Answers to Civil Engineering Review Comments:

Bassett Parolee/Probationer Housing Facility-Special Use Permit 3118 S. Izard Street
1. Provide complete Site Plan for staffs review comments below are based on survey
provided.
Answer: Plans for the property has been submitted for staff review.
2. ADA Access shall be shown to the Right-of-Way.
Answer: ADA Access will be shown to the Right of Way.
3. Handicap Parking shall include one van stall 11ft wide with a 5ft minimum aisle.
Answer: With the upgrade of the asphalt the handicapped parking will be
completed.
4. Proposal of use will require a change for ADA to meet max feasibility, when you
apply for a building permit this will be commented on.
Answer: ADA access is being requested.
5. May be subject to building permit for further review.
Answer: ADA access is being requested.
6. Gravel parking lot not permitted.
Answer: Gravel will be upgraded to asphalt.
7. Contact Planning and Development Dept., Engineering Division at 501-371-4817 or
at 501-918-5348 for inspections of any work in the public right-of-way prior to
placement of concrete or asphalt or for on-site clarification of requirements prior to
commencing work. Failure to do so can result in removal of any improperly placed
concrete or asphalt at the expense of the owner or contractor.
Answer: Planning and Development Dept. will be contacted before any changes are
made to the property for the change in the gravel being upgraded to asphalt
driveway.
8. Hauling of cut and/or fill material on or off project sites over municipal streets
require approval prior to a grading permit being issued. Contact Public Works Traffic
Engineering at 621 S. Broadway 501-379-1800 with any questions or for more
information.
Answer: Information has been request from the Public Works Traffic Engineering
and recommendations and information will be followed to complete the driveway
upgrade to asphalt.
9. Damage to public and private property due to hauling operations or operations of
construction related equipment from a construction site shall be repaired by the
responsible party prior to the issuance of a certificate of occupancy.
Answer: Owners of 3118 S Izard St. LR, AR 72206 (Bassett Parolee/ Probationer
Housing Facility will repair any public and private property that is damaged due to
the construction of the upgrade of the driveway to asphalt and ADA accessibility.
