Dear Members of the Planning Commission,
This letter is submitted on behalf of Desi Desha LLC in support of a request to allow the
property located at 6900 W. Markham Street, currently zoned R-2, to be used as a
group home.
The proposed use of the property is residential housing in a shared, home -like setting where
individuals with disabilities may reside together. The occupants of 6900 W. Markham Street
will live at the property as residents of the home. Occupancy may range up to eight (8)
occupants at any time. The property will continue to function as a residential dwelling where
occupants live, sleep, and carry out daily living activities, maintaining the residential character
and compatibility with the surrounding neighborhood.
No medical, clinical, or skilled nursing services will be provided on -site as part of the
housing use.
Legacy Blooms Senior Solutions is a non -medical personal care service provider that may
be independently contracted by occupants, should they choose to do so. Legacy Blooms
Senior Solutions does not own, operate, or manage the residential property. Any supportive
services
offered are optional, privately arranged, and entirely separate from the housing itself.
Occupancy at the residence is not contingent upon contracting with any service provider, and
occupants may choose alternative providers, family assistance, or personal support
arrangements.
The subject property is not located within a subdivision governed by a Bill of
Assurance. Accordingly, no subdivision restrictions apply to the proposed use.
